The Greek god “Caerus,” also known as “Kairos.” Image credit The ancient Greeks have a god called “Caerus,” also known as “Kairos.” [1] He personified opportunity. Statues of this god show that he has wings on his feet, a lock of hair on the front of his head and bald on the back of his head. At the base of the statue, people can read this inscription. What is thy name? My name is Opportunity. Why hast thou wings on thy feet? That I may fly away swiftly. Why hast thou a great forelock? That men may seize me when I come. Why art thou bald in back? That when I am gone by, none can lay hold of me. Tapestry (Part 1)

But the reason why we only see the tragedy and the agony in our lives is because we tend to focus on what see from our side. I like what Pastor Tim Challies of Grace Fellowship Church in Toronto, Ontario wrote in his blog: Have you ever compared the front and back of a tapestry? The front of a tapestry is art. In the hands of a skilled weaver it displays incredible artistry and fine detail. God Knows Judas Not Pay

In the National Geographic Magazine (May 2006 issue), in its cover story, The Judas Gospel , Professor Eliane Pagels of Princeton University claimed that the so-called gospel of Judas “ changes the history of early Christianity. ” Even UP Professor Randy David took notice of the Judas Gospel: “Strictly from a sociological standpoint, I think the discovery of the Gospel of Judas makes Christianity a far more interesting religion than what centuries of metaphysical theology has made of it.” (A Gospel for the Postmodern, Phil. Daily Inquirer, April 16, 2006) That’s why I spoke in our Young Pro Fellowship a few days ago on God Knows Judas Not Pay (A Biblical Response on the Judas Gospel). I believe opportunities like this hype on the Judas Gospel or the Da Vinci Code opens a door for us to share the true Gospel.
